I thought I’d share these before I put them up for another season.
These are a pair of shiny 16 inch tall East German Officer’s parade boots. I picked them up after the fall of East Germany, when GDR surplus flooded the market. They weren’t in my area of interest, but they sure were pretty, so I couldn’t resist buying them for the few bucks they cost at the time.
Now, I don’t usually wear my collectibles, but at Christmas time these boots are the one exception. Every year since I got them, I’ve slipped them on to play Santa.
