My grandfather handed this down to me and I love it. I only wish I knew more about it. The motor mechanism works when it is hand-cranked. I do need to find a needle. It is is pretty good shape considering. I have found other phonographs, but not any made my Puritone. I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide to help me learn more about this beautiful piece. Also, if you have a location that may sell needles for this phonograph that would be great too. Thanks in advance!

Yes the needles are easy to find indeed. From what I know about Puritone, it was a company Columbia Records owned in the early 1900s that made recordings of lesser known artists. My guess would be that they also jumped on the "Victrola" phonograph bandwagon to make some money for themselves and to undercut Victor.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate your help! Still trying to learn more. I found a similar Puritone with a different grate on the front. Going to check ebay for the needles now. Thanks again!
