Thank you for viewing this piece. I am attempting to find more information about this item. I need to know if it is Silver, plated, whom might have made it, what country it might be from, how old, etc. PLEASE HELP!!
In the center it reads, "Zum Andenken an die Deutsche Gemeinde in Lissabon 1873-1883". Which translates (from German to English) meaning: "In memory of the German Community in Lisbon 1873-1883". On the reverse side there is a "P" in a shield that is topped by a crown (royalty). Above that is a "zigzag" line (see photo). Then above the line is a makers mark. The best I can read is that it says "Correa" or Gorrea. The "e" in the name has an accent mark above it, and there are several little dots under the entire name.
Any information that can be provided will be helpful. If you wish to see more photos please send me your email. Thank you for your interest. PHIL.
