Came out of my grandfather's estate, one of the few things I have from his unbelievable service. He was in the 4th Marine Division and participated on Iwo Jima. We have next to nothing from his service and he still refuses to talk about it.
We still have the box and the backing the medal came pinned on, but it's more important where it came from.
