I am unsure of the year it was made as I inherited this lighter from my Dad the box has a rocket that says jet lite japan. The can reads Cod-sperm-castor and neatsfoot oil ooc ottol oil Co. 455 Cortland St Belleville 9, NJ Plymouth 9-5172 . I am just looking for any more information I can get about this lighter
