I know alot of people might question whether Rumph pottery can be classified as "art" , but IT IS. Ive seen some of the "high brow" art, & this is "classical" compaired to that! Art is, & always will be, in the eye of the beholder. Know doubt, this cat did WAY more drugs in the 70s than i did! This mug is called "peeping tom" (circa 1971), because you can see the forest troll lookin guy peping over the top of the mug to get a look inside at the naked imp lounging in the bottom! These mugs are not so "artsy priced" objects as not to also be functional. You should have been there when i served my friend a drink in this mug,( Pepsi ) & he drank down to the bottom & saw that piece of light BROWN cay image, surrounded by all that glossed BLUE interior of the mug. It was classic!!! So, i guess u could say this art pottery IS classical.
