I found this sign while cleaning out my basement...I hope someone can fill me in a little bit about it. I'm mostly concerned about what year this is...and why it has a white backside with a black #22 ostamp....all of the ones I've seen on ebay have black backside with a white #22

Your Bell System 8 inch hub cap sign was the forth logo used by the Bell system staring in 1939 to 1964. The #22 is the style ordered by the Bell companies. Some hub cap sign are made without holes and glued on to trucks or buildings.
Thanks Tom....any reason why the back is white rather than the black ones I've seen
No reason, but I have seen them both ways.
I was hoping it was super rare...haha
You still have a nice clean sign, I haven't seen one this nice in quite some time.
Well that's good to hear....the winning bidder should be happy.....how much do you think its worth in this condition?
I see where your sign is on Ebay at $38.00 and change. A book I have on telephone sign values put the hub cap at $35.00 to $50.00 range. Yours could do better because it's clean. With Ebay the last six seconds will tell.
OK...thank. you
