Foo Dogs or Temple Lions

i have a number of temple lions or foo dogs in my collection. i picked these ones up last year and really like them. the paint is unusual, i think. any ideas as to the age or anything? i just added a photo of both of these together. i think they are from the 1940s/1950s. i really like these ones.
