think you got a good price
Hmmm, I had to wipe alot of dust off of it & give it a good wax job. It might be worth acoupple $ more....Heeeheee!
I don't believe the leather seat is original to the chair it is very possible it should have a bent Oak seat I have two very similar that same shaped seat and they are oak. http://www.vandykes.com/product/bent-wood-rocking-chair-seat Here is a place you can get an Oak seat for it if you find that it should have one and would like to replace it.
It is a beautiful chair either way.
Thanks for the link James... I tryed to sell it at our garage sale here in TN for 20 bucks but no luck... It will stay as is..... May just give it to the kids..
I would have given you $20 for it. If I put a new seat in it, it would bring around $150-$200 as it has a small chip in the back rest and it looks like it has been sanded & refinished. And they didn't try to bring it back to original. But it is a nice piece here in the area of N.Y. where I live you should be able to get $50-$75 in that shape.

And I think your chair is nicer looking.
