This is a Remler Minuette Cathedral Tube Radio from 1932 only 12 1/2" tall and MADE IN SAN FRANCISCO!!! Just got this Radio back from my Old timmer Radio Repair Man, and this beauty POPS!! Remler made a few Miget Cathedrals but most Migets and Pee Wees were made in L.A. in the Early 1930's
Miget Cathedral tube radios were popular in 1929-1932. Los Angeles was the Miget Radio Capital of the World, with up to 50 different Radio manufacturers in it's prime, the tough business climate that existed caused most assemblers to quit, merge, or go into bankruptcy and by 1933 about a dozen Radio manufacturers were left in Business, making some models really rare.
A real interesting series of 3 books titled "Los Angeles Radio Manufacturing " The first twenty years 1922-1942 by Floyd A. Paul tell the story.
I am now on the Miget Cathedral Tube Radio Hunt!!!!!!
