I would like to find out what kind of chair this is it was in my family for as long as I remember it was my Grandmothers. Some have told me its a North Wind chair a style that was indeed popular during the late Victorian era (1880-1900) and into the early 20th century. The face, from folklore, was supposed to cast (literally, "blow") evil spirits away." A common example of one of these of average size, without arms, in excellent condition would run in the range of about $300-$400. A diminutive piece, $200-$300. A large arm chair, however, would be considerably more, at about $800-$1,200, on average, with exceptional examples (formidable size/ carved all around/ etc.) reaching into the range of $2,000-$2,500. I have looked everywhere, but all the North Wind Chairs I have seen do not look like this chair. Can anyone help me find this chair... Thanks
