I was fishing in Prairie Du Rocher on the Mississippi River the other day, and the water is really low, so we were halfway across the river bed fishing and beings that there was no water, there was no fish, so i started walking and found a glass bottle...then another..then another, eventually finding roughly 50 bottles within 50 feet of each other on the river bottom. All were buried somewhat and all intact. This bottle is a 1950 Coca Cola bottle with the 6 ounce PAT-D. 105529, St. Louis on the bottom, in amazing condition. I wanted to know a value of this bottle, and considering the way i found these bottles, I can't lose.

These were dumped by The Coca-Cola Company purposely, to form an artificial reef. Put them back sir! Oh wait, I mixed up this story with my Key West artificial reef story. Never mind.
Nice bottles. Most are pretty common. I'm not really a bottle man, but there are some bottle collectors on here that may shed some light.
haha yeah they tied up a bundle and used them as boueys. i was just amazed what i could find in 15 minutes of walking on a river shore.
I recently bought a case of bottles very similar, all marked Savannah, Georgia, on an eBay bid auction for $27 + $18 shipping. There were a couple other bidders, so I think a good indication there is a small niche market, and value is something like $1-$2 each. This is a cool find, great story, and well worth your time to pick them up, whether you choose to sell or display. The bottles look very nice.
thank you, i think i will hold on to it if the value is only that much. it is a very cool story and a cool piece of americana. im only 18 so this bottle will be really cool when im old
