Urban Ore is a recycling center. they have pickers who go through the trash sent to the Berkeley Transfer Station and anything good, they are supposed to pull out and sell at Urban Ore. They tend to price stuff on the high side - much higher than flea market prices - which i don't get, but i do find some treasures there sometimes. i've found some real treasures at the berkeley dump too - stuff which was passed over by the pickers.
does anyone know anything about this book? i'm crazy over anything to do w/ the dadaists/surrealists/russian avant garde in paris/etc. so this is a real treasure for me!

i knew someone would recognize it, and i thought it would be you vetraio50. the cashier had to pry it from my fingers to check the price on it. i really love jean arp, and this is just loaded w/ his work. i'd like to find more translations and even some interpretations of the piece. it's kind of like arp's version of duchamp's 'bride stripped bare by her bachelor's', don't you think? a generic treatise on all isms? or the ISM of isms?
Ism R us!
The concrete poetry on the cover is wow!
Did it come from a public library?
I'd hope not.
I'd help you with any translation.
