Hello,
I stumbled upon this pedal car at my local dump the other day. There are no manufacturing marks, logos, or dates on the car. I have researched the web and the closest in comparison I can come up with is a Murray Tot Rod, but I can't find one that looks like mine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Anyone know what it is? How old? Is it original?
Thanks,
Ryan

I love it! Great old race car look with an awesome hood scoop! Nice find!
Grate find. It is a third generation Tot Rod from the 1960s. They were called Fireball Racer and Thunder Bolt Racer. I restore pedal cars and donate them to charities. "search" Speedway Motor and click on "Apparel and Gift" and there is a selection for Pedal cars. Search under Murray and when you find a part for Tote Rod, select it and you have an option to see a parts diagram that also has a brief history. If I can figure how to post a picture I'll post my Tot Rod.
