i just changed out the photos, to show what interesting images are in this book. the first is the beautiful front cover - designed by Joseph Cornell. the second is a very funny magritte i've never seen before. the third is a very unusual giacometti i've never seen. the fourth is a max ernst collage titled 'the better to strangle you with my child' from 'Reve d'une petite fille qui voulut entrer au Carmel'. i previously forgot to mention that the book has an owner's name in it - Sidra Stich - a well-known san francisco art historian who has written several books about surrealism, as well as curated several surrealist exhibitions, as well as many books on art, fashion, and architecture.
