My uncle was a US Marine during the second world war, and fought in the Pacific. He brought home some souvenirs that he gave to my father, who passed them on to me. This is one of them. It's a Japanese Type 30 bayonet, Jinsen Arsenal PV-03 for use with an Arisaka rifle. This is the information I have been able to learn from various websites. The scabbard is in very good condition, as it the bayonet itself, showing only some darkening of the wood handle, and some scratches to the wood. The leather frog is in good condition as well. The blade measures 15.5 inches in length, and the entire bayonet is 20 inches long. I have had this stored for years, and I am going to make a display of military items that I have gotten from family members.

Love it!! I'm a sucker for a blade. God Bless your uncle for his service. Also thanks go to him for bringing this home, if not we couldn't have enjoyed it. Thank you so much for sharing it with everyone. Jimbo
