Sorry for the terrible picture quality. This pitcher belongs to my grandmother and I am trying to find out a little information on it. She says that it belonged to her grandmother and it was used to bring cool water or milk inside from a spring house. She said the spring house was built on a small cool spring and her family stored butter and milk there. I was hoping someone could tell me approximately how old this pitcher would be or what kind of pitcher it is.

Can't be for certain since the picture is so bright, but it looks like sponge ware. Google some images for it and see if it looks like your pitcher. Hope that helps a little. :-)
