THIS LITTLE NOTEBOOK CALENDER WAS GIVEN TO ME BY A FRIEND THIS WEEKEND. IT IS APPARENTLY FRENCH AND HAS A CALENDER FOR 1945 IN IT WITH PAGES FOR NOTES IN THE REAR. EVERY DATE HAS A NAME OR NOTATION PRINTED BESIDE IT. I HAVE NO IDEA AS TO WHY OR WHAT THIS IS FOR. APPROXIMATELY 1 X 2 INCHES IN SIZE.

    Great Deco cover.
Photo 2 is a list of French Public Holidays.
Photo 3 shows August and times of sunrise and sunset.
Each day has a Saint's name: a saint for each day of the year.
Saint Pierre es liens is the feast of St Peter in chains.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Peter_ad_Vincula

August 2 was Alphonsus Maria de Liguori .

August 3 is Se Lydia or Saint Lydia of Thyatira.

Se = Sainte. S = Saint. Female and male forms.

The D in bold denotes dimanche or Sunday.
August 15 Assomption is in bold because it's a public holiday.

The last photo is for personal details:
    Glove size
    Shoe size
    Neck size
    Hat size
    Watch number
    Weight
    Height
    Date of birth

The watch number is an interesting detail. Why?
A gift with a new watch?
    1945 has significance too.
There are those NL, PQ, PL & DQ abbreviations too that so far defeat me.
    Hope this helps.

Got the abbreviations NL, PQ, PL & DQ. They refer to moon phases.
NL = Nouvelle Lune or New Moon
PQ = Premier Quartier or First Quarter
PL = Pleine Lune or Full Moon
DQ = Dernier Quartier or Last Quarter.

    Thanks. I've learnt something here.
