when one looks and studies all of the different varies that the older victorian etuis come in from the use of small walnut shells to the commonly used rectangular box -- you start to see the creativity this generation had in their designs and what was important in style during that particular era
this one is being shared as with the red cardinal etui to show it -- doesn't always have to be a hinged egg -- just something you love -- for me birds and flowers do the trick
this particular trinket box is a 1983 fritz & floyd that was on its way to the landfill -- i am sure the sharks and other sea creatures will not miss it at all
