I am collector of Carnival Glass. I am hoping someone can help me clarify something I noticed on this item. The literature included in the box says 2,000 pieces will be distributed. Etched on the back of this piece and written on the back of the box is the number 762. Here is the puzzling part - on the back of the plate in raised lettering it reads "Joe St. Clair, 1971, 5000/762 (etched), St. Clair, Glass, Works, Inc., Elwood-Ind. Why is it 2000 in the literature and 5000 on the item? Just a mistake? Is this item collectable? I purchased it because it was carnival glass. The plate measures approx. 5 1/4".
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
