      Your machine is much older than 1930's . According to the Singer web site your machine was made in 1909 . Yours is missing the tension assembly . But there are places to get the tension assemblies for these machines . It is also missing the slide plate unless it is in one of the drawers . Other than that it seems to be in good condition .

      The serial number D79602 must have a number missing? It's either D079602, which would put it in a batch of model 27-4 machines commissioned January 1 1908, or there is another number missing :)

      oscarterra37 : If I read the Singer chart correctly your machine is a Singer class 15 and one of 35,000 allotted on May 13th , 1926 . Made in Elizabeth , New Jersey , USA . If I made a mistake on the date and class of your machine Bernadette will have the correct information . I am still learning how to read the Singer charts .

      I learnt to sew on a machine like this! My grandmother had one very similar to this one - great piece. It worked just like it did when it was made:)
