This is a Whitefriars amber vase designed by James Hogan in 1938. It has a horizontal optical effect and weights a ton. So much so that I decided it couldn't live on the glass shelf with some of my other glass in case it brought the whole lot down. I bought this from my sister-in-law after I have infected her with the glass collecting bug.
