Usually, Mexican pottery is fired at low temperatures and is very soft and tends to crumble if left outside. This vase is high-fired mexican terracotta and is as good as the best italian pieces i've seen. When i got it the other day, it was painted white all over and i was in the process of stripping it when i decided to stop. i like the way it looks - partially stripped. What do you think? i have no idea of the age, but the signature looks like deco lettering. This piece was thrown on the wheel in two pieces and joined.
