I picked this up at a garage sale a couple years back. It has a small crack but is in pretty nice shape. On the bottom it is marked with "made in" on one flower, "calif us" on another and "502" on the other. I don't really know how old it is, first half of the twentieth century I think.
If anyone recognizes the design or the glaze and could point me at the maker that would be awesome. I like it a lot and want to figure out who made it.

Pieces made by "California Pottery Co.". Unfortunately, this isn't a company, but just the location where it was made. The marks on the bottom of wares may be Cal., Calif., California, etc. Many times with a number, USA or handwritten signature. The combinations and methods of markings are endless. It can be a very difficult task, if not impossible, to know exactly which company or individual made a certain piece. -- Check under "calif usa potteries", I saw your piece but in another color and it was attributed to "Gilmer Potteries" but I couldn't find any other reference to them?
