I found your association in the web in some old phone intercom blog, about such old phones for intercoms using DC current.
I would like to get the 8 units on 4 different floors, and the carriage house 100 feet away from my historic home.
Several of the units are missing either the ear ( attached directly to phone box) or mouth piece and were the 2 braided wires need to be replaced
Might anyone assist with:
1. How to obtain a permanent and correct AC to DC power source ( like a power
wall wart but with wires or terminal screws, NOT for today's plug in mm power
sources ie cell phones, tablets ...)
The former home owner, now deceased, had said he had a few or all of the units
working off of 2 large Square S batteries for camping flashlights ,,,
Don't want to do the batteries solution,, so for a AC to DC permanent solution
hat OHm, Resistor amount rating, adjustable etc for this many units and distance
between them
Looks like some or all the units have modern rewiring going to them, all color
coded and soldered to the many very small terminals or in internal braided
wiring.
2. Any known sources for new braided wire, and 3/4 " screw on ear cones made by
Couch & Seeley, Boston
And hand held size of a pocket watch speaking mike made by EY & M co.?
Your kind response is most appreciated, Thanks a million!!
