    I found this years ago. it's cool as hell and works. but I have NO idea if it's worth anything. I've picked up radio stations around Vietnam (more, but I could not understand what they were speaking) I know it has what I think is called a green eye??... that is in the last pic. let me know what you think.. it is trash or treasure? I think it's cool!

      Glad I could help! Looks like the radio was made around 1955. Pretty cool piece you have there! W286 is the model number, I found a W285 that was made around 1955, I'm sure yours was made shortly after that one, maybe even the same year.

      Check that one out.... very similar to yours. It's a model W285KL. Apparently your radio is pretty rare.

      Love it. Reminds me of my grandfather's old Grundig. I loved that radio.
