    Nice little 7 1/2" x 3" planter by Cookson Pottery Co., Roseville, Ohio, 1945-1995. It's kind of an odd color. I guess you could call it "sandlewood" sort of a pinkish tan. The pattern is interesting. It kind of reminds me of artichoke leaves.

      I saw another piece of Cookson today at Goodwill. It was the same design as this one only smaller about 5 1/2" and yellow. It only had "CP' and a number on the bottom. I would have bought it but they wanted four times as much for it than I paid for this one. Go figure! I'll wait for half price or one dollar day.
