These collectables scare me to death! How do you care for them? I've been keeping my Uncle's in a place where it's cool all the time.
Yes they can be very fragile and can even loose their elasticity...have seen some that if you had squeezed them they would break...and have seen some broken! I do not leave them in the original box (if one even exists)because the cardboard will burn the rubber! Found that out the hardway.Most I find are a vinyl material but the older ones were a more unstable substance which was rubber.
I learned the hard way too, I lost my Wahoo, and a tiny Jerry (from Tom and Jerry). We sold our house so quickly some years ago I had to get a storage unit. Of course it was one of the hottest summers ever that year and by the time I got them out they were dry and useless.
