    This is the most unusual factory guard's badge that I have ever seen. (But there is a lot I haven't seen yet to be sure.) This is a Staley MFG. Guard's badge. Staley's is the largest factory in Decatur Illinois and processes mostly soy beans if my memory is correct. Interestingly this badge also indicates that the plant guards were also special deputies of Macon County, Illinois. My guess is that this badge dates from WWI to WWII.
