My German grandmother kindled my love for the brand over four decades ago, and I am the proud steward of many of her childhood Steiff treasures. My passion became my vocation for several years when I had the pleasure of working for the US division of Margarete Steiff GmbH. I am a regular contributor to the publications "Teddy Bear and Friends" and the global "Steiff Club Magazine", where I write about vintage Steiff. I am also the admin on the Steiff Facebook fan page, the National Steiff Examiner on Examiner.com, and the Steiff Worthologist on WorthPoint.com. I truly lead the "Steiff Life." (Read more)

  5. Hum, I do not believe he is Steiff as his proportions are not correct. If he was a turn of last century Steiff bear, his arms and legs would be long and thin, and his "hands" would reach to his knee...
  6. Many thanks everyone. These tiny treasures are great collectibles as they don't take up any space at all! I have a bunch of the birds, bunnies, chickens, and hens.
  7. @marcobabe13: thank you so much. I also love the birds and the dogs... this particular set is utterly charming. The baby is so small she is like holding a gum-ball in your hand.
  8. Thanks, I appreciate your kind words. I also love the small dogs, and the animals from the 1950's with velvet muzzles and details.
