All things Folk

I love All things Folk. I feel akin to anything made by hand that has that certain innocence to it. The untrained eye is a lot more fun that perspective any day of the week. Geeze, life is complicated enough as it is. Guess I never grew up and at age 58 I'm not likely to start now! All this sums up my Toucan whimsy. I painted him first on board and framed him with a wide pine, faux painted frame to imitate teakwood. Then, loving that 'Durante' nose so much, went into the shop and carved him from cedar. He keeps us company while he sits on a swing in my Florida room.
