I saw this today in a new antique store. Was pricey for my taste and I have no idea what the marking reads. Anyone?

Wendell thank you very much. This is helpful.
Not nephrite or jadeite for sure. The poor and crude carvings are typical of a modern reproduction. As such, the mark does not matter.
