    A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett, illustrated by Ethel Franklin-Betts, 1916 edition, published 1927. A childhood classic, it's the story of Sara Crewe, a girl who pretends that she is a princess in order to deal with life at Miss Minchin's London boarding school.

      Your copy is beautiful - I have a 1916 one but it's not in perfect condition. Wonderful story! "The Secret Garden" is one of my all-time favorites.
