This was my grandmother's lamp.

Does anyone know anything about this style of lamp? It was my grandmother's and I believe she bought it secondhand in the late 50s or early 60s, I would like to know how old it is. Both the upper shade and base are metal and light up. The finial is a crescent moon and star, and there is a stamp that says made in Syria.
