Antique: Beautifully Carved Wooden Chair - from a Sailor under Captain John Wilfred Carter.

Made before 1840. Mahogany I think, but it is quite light in weight. Only looks like a few solid pieces were used to carve and put together by home-made nails. Wish I knew who might have carved it. Woven Wicker type seat. No markings that I could see.
