I just saw this little guy at an antique shop in my town. I know nothing about dolls and was curious if he was worth getting fixed or not all that valuable and could try myself. I'd love to know how old he is. All that's on the back of his neck is IDEAL DOLL MADE IN U.S.A. and what looks like the number 32. Thanks so much!!
Looks like a drug overdose followed by blunt trauma. Manikin will be along shortly for a second opinion.
1948-1953 Baby Coos doll, 14" composition head
How tall is it ? I agree it looks like Baby Coos but you said huge so how tall is it . It is always better to photo doll nude and also markings :-) the 32 I wonder about in your description .
Oh and as far as restoring the crack by the eye is tricky to close and has to be done from inside head . It would be costly to have doll restored unless your able to do it as I can not see what arms and legs look like for condition . I would not pay to have restored but that is always up to you :-)
