Melbourne 1956 Olympic Torch

This is a 1956 Olympic torch of Melbourne Olympics. My father was a torch bearer (aged 18 at that time) He took part in the relay at the town of Patras Greece. I know that there are very few copies compared with other Olympics and I have even received an offer of 4000 Eur ( 5360$) .The item has a sentimental value for my family. I have also checked an article at the site and saw that the highest bids are from 15000-20000$. Could that be true for mine. Thanks in advance for your asistance
