Seems to be cast iron, very heavy...cant make out the logo, has a number on the side..and a shield w/sword...closest thing i could find online is
persian water/coffee/tea servers but they are all copper.
Any help would be appreciated..

Try rubbing some white Talc over the mark to see if that helps bring it out more
