Antique Letter Opener

Hello Everyone,

I would like to know if anyone has any information about my letter opener. Unfortunately I broke it by mistake but i believe it's made out of brass it's marked with china, and has a Chinese sign on the side of it, and the art on the front is a gold colored cat with its tall up. On the back it has a design of flowers.
