This beautiful dog is a Chow Chow Blanko ca. 1928. Steiff made Chow Chow Brownie and Chow Chow Blanko to represent the Zeppelin mascot. Condition is near MINT; I love the detail on this era of Steiff, including airbrushing, facial expression, detailed patterning and overall quality that captures the correct conformation of a dog. This is one of the nicest pre-war pieces that I own. It is difficult to find a piece from this era in such beautiful condition with all identification in tact!
