French liquor bottle, made in France. I found it at a garage sale with old lamp parts. I had to soak it just to get the lamp parts out. It's a nude woman, 13 1/2" tall, her wavy hair makes me think she is an Art Deco style or perhaps a mix of Art Deco and art nouveau. I would like to make her back into a lamp or candle holder.

I like her because she makes me think of a goddess, Venus, perhaps. I wonder what type of liquor would have been inside and who made it or who made the bottle. I think it could have been manufactured during the prohibition days. I'm a Boardwalk Empire fan.

Noirot is a quite well-known producer of liqueur flavorings and still sells those on a world-wide basis. Eau d'Or was originally called Goldwasser, and it was first produced in 1598 in the Prussian port of Danzig (now Polish Gdansk). It contains infusions of botanicals with flakes of real gold, which makes it a unique liqueur.
