Antique Rhinestone Ladies Velvet-lined compact/cigarette hard case with mirror

This item was given to me by my great-grandmother. I believe it's either a mini-clutch circa 1920 or 1930. Its a hard case, rhinestones are still in amazing brilliantly shining condition, has a gold strap and red velvet lined interior. A mini mirror is in the top compartment. It is 4" long 2.5" width total height is 1.5". The large compartment is 5/8" deep with velvet lining, the smaller one on top has the mirror and is approximately 1/4" deep. I would love to know more about the origins and details of this piece. She gave it to me as a little girl before she passed away, it's been kept in a special place for the last 38 years and I have no one left to tell me about it.
