HI..."Find" also....May be German..Felt-like material on outside..Stamped German JHS inside...Eagle w German symbol on one side and Medal (flag?) on other...Any info on this nice hat/helmet would be appreciated...Not hard metal on hat..Thank You for any info and Thank You for looking at our stuff....You Guys/Gals have great stuff on this site and lots of good info.....Thks MLyons
This is the Afrika Korps style pith helmet. "JHS" means something but can't remember now but sure our experts can tell us. These are very collectable & yours is in great condition.
After enlarging a pic, I see "Germany". If it were original, it wouldn't say that so now lean toward repro..

I would love to have one to wear working at the airport here in the tropics but since it is a French airport, they might shoot me with those emblems. LOL. I have one of those small German flags I put on my bike to go to work when Germany has a game in the World Cup, but figure the Frogs are quite used to seeing German flag on their soil by now!
