    I plucked this one out of circulation. It has an almost solid serial number. What does that K11 under the upper serial number mean?

      Federal Reserve District number and letter - K11 = Dallas

      The 11th Federal Reserve Bank is in Dallas. K is the 11th letter in the alphabet, the letter and number are used together to signify the bank. http://www.federalreserve.gov/otherfrb.htm
