This pin is the Professional Bowling Services (PBS) Blue Star pin. It's rather uncommon and especially so in near mint, unused condition. And ABC sanctioned pin, it bears the eagle on filled-ball sanctioning stamp on the back of the pin. You can see that the printing pad lifted off the pin at the top of the eagle and so some features are missing. This is not rare as bowling pins are manufactured to take abuse, not be art objects. It's standard in all respects. Notable, however, are the brush streak marks on the two neckband rings. Since bowling pins are commodity items meant to take abuse, they are exactly produced in clean room environments. At the lower left side of the front, you can see a black speck. This is not on the surface, but rather between the off white plastic underlayer and the transparent skin of nylon. Perhaps one day I'll find a plastic coated pin with an insect caught between the layers, immortalized like a fly in amber. Control weight and standard dimensions of 15" x 4.5".
