This magazine has the cover story featuring Dewey's run for president. But he didn't make it. The advertisements in this publication are absolutely stunning throughout the entirety of not only this issue, but every single mag of the day. There is one collector here that goes by "Vintagemad" and she wall papered her entire bathroom cutting pieces from old magazines such as this. A very cool idea.

i recently started collecting interesting old life mags...i absolutely love the old ads and i drool at the thought of reading all the old articles. they always contain something "weird" in comparison to today's media.

Truly spoken geekasaurus. Couldn't agree with you more. Thanks for taking a peek.

Thanks for the shout out about my idea, I'm sure others have done it before me. I love old magazines the ads, stories and propaganda are always great. The really earl mags are the best I have a few from 1912-1918 and these are the ones I find to be the most interesting. Times were so different then yet the same. Some of the mags from the depression hold relevance to what we are going through today. Its a shame we(as a people & country) did not learn from the past. Happy hunting!

Thanks for the comment and your very much welcome on the "shout out". And you are so right on the politics too. Side note: I have a mini hoard of costume jewelry from the "teens" to about 1960. Sure could use some info/advice/data/ideas on what I have. I see where that's your favorite.
