I just bought this from a 65 year old lady and she said it was her great granfather's end table. It used to have a marble top but was replaced by a piece of mahogany same diameter. Has anybody seen this before? What is the purpose of the spindled basket like feature in the middle?
How tall is it? The basket almost looks like a place to put your feet while sitting next to it (eg. similar to a bar????)
