Have searched the internet but can't find any information about this lamp. Has duplex stamped on the dials on the side. Has FS & COLOL and also RD49460 stamped under the base. If anyone could tell me any thing about the history would be grateful

Hi, I have a lamp similar to this one. I too am looking for some info. Your lamp looks like it has a European Kosmos collar which were interchangeable with 14''' Kosmos burners and European duplex burners. The blue is a classic French glass colour and the base is in an Art Nouveau style. So my limited guesstimation is that this is a French lamp with an English duplex burner from the 1930's. The similar one I have came with an American #1 standard collar and so I though it might be American but now after seeing yours which is so similar, I'm not sure if mine was not European too and that someone changed the collar. I'm going to post that lamp and you can compare.
