Danish scissor and thimble set

I bought this set from an antique shop in Bath (UK) - the lady could only tell me that they were silver, and 'Scandinavian'. There are markings on each piece. I can make out the letters H N on the scissor handle, the numbers for 'silver' and a symbol that looks like a bow tie, or an hourglass on it's side, on the thimble. Does anyone know the maker and approximate age? I've tried to look for the maker and found a couple of possibilities with those letters. It is engraved with initials MEJ.
