Antique MARBLE BRASS TEL-O-FONE - rotary phone

My husband purchased this off of Ebay quite a few years ago. Great find. I have never tried to test it to see if it actually works, just been sitting around for looks only. Has the brass/gold pen and base, rotary with castle picture inside, bell casing on bottom, cradle with princess style handset. Heavy brass base and marble top. Patina. I believe the wiring should be replaced to be updated for usage.
